    1. If you're just looking for a brief history of the Scholl siblings and the White Rose, this is the book for you. For what it is, it gets five stars. If I didn't have another book that was about Christians who resisted the Nazis, I'd have had no idea that the Scholls were Christians. The only reference to faith at all in this book is that the Scholls and their friends were interested in theology. "The Ultimate Price" by Annemarie S. Kidder is the book I'm reading now and it has a section on Sophie [...]

    2. Hans And Sophie Scholl: The White Rose**I Give This Book 4 Stars**SPOILER ALERT!!! This book was about the White Rose. It talks about the struggles that the group had and how they fought through the Holocaust the way they did. Hans and Sophie Scholl were brother and sister; Hans older and Sophie younger. They started the White Rose, a small group, that eventually became larger; it was composed of teenagers who passed out leaflets and tried to convince people to revolt against Hitler. They passed [...]

    3. Hans and Sophie Scholl: German Registers of the White Rose is a non-fiction book regarding the Holocaust. The purpose of this novel is to inform the reader about the group White Rose. The White Rose is a group of kids that have an unbreakable relationship. They trust each other. The kids betray Hitler by sending leaflets across their country. The theme of the text is to be unafraid, and take a chance for a worthy cause. The group took a chance by giving out certified information to the public. [...]

    4. I recently read 'Hans And Sophie Scholl:German resisters of The White Rose' by Toby Axelrod. This book was about a courageous group of kids who stood up for what they believed in, and risked their own lives while doing so. They called themselves "The White Rose" and were very secretive with their work. They printed and distributed leaflets all around Germany, trying to spread their ideas with as many people as possible without getting caught. Some kids were so brainwashed by the Nazis that they [...]

    5. I love the subject matter, but in my opinion there is just not enough to this book. I know it is written for youth, but it's only 100 pages and over half of that was talking about the events of World War II and the history of Hitler's rise to power, leaving 40-50 pages that are even about the White Rose resistance group. Then an even smaller portion of those pages are actually about Hans and Sophie. It is valid to suppose that many young readers might not know all the background they need, but t [...]

    6. Hans And Sophie Scholl: German Resistors of the White RoseHans and Sophie Scholl: German Resistors of the White Rose is an informational book about WWII, and it is non-fiction. The author’s purpose is to inform us about the Holocaust. My position on the Holocaust is that it was a horrible thing and awful. The author was very effective in communicating his thesis and expanded my knowledge of the white rose. I think that it was cool how a group of teens can make such a big difference. I didn’t [...]

    7. Hans and Sophie Scholl is a biographical non-fiction book about a group of anti-Nazis during the Holocaust. The Holocaust- a historical happening that everyone fears and hopes will never happen again. This book explains how a small group of people can influence quite a bit of people. The author, Toby Axelrod, has actually written quite a bit of books about the Holocaust. I think that the author just kind of drones on and on. It is repetitive in places. This book could do a lot better job of expl [...]

    8. Hans and Sophie Scholl is a book about the Holocaust. It’s a non-fiction book. I liked this book, because it explained a lot and expanded my knowledge regarding this important event in history. Hans was very brave for starting the organization called the white rose. I feel that Hans was a key role in the start of the white rose. He felt that the Nazis weren't always telling the truth. This book helped me increase my understanding about the Holocaust, and the White Rose. The text will share how [...]

    9. A really great and to the point story of who Hans and Sophie Scholl and the White Rose were. It is a story that all should know and unfortunately do not. More than the Jews were killed during the Third Reich, they too, deserve to be remembered and learned from.
