    1. great re-read! Changed from 4 to 5 stars for executionI may never be the same again. No spoilers.Genre bending sci-fi, thriller In General: This is one of the most disturbing books I've ever read. It would be five stars if I didn't feel like I've been abused physically and mentally too. It would be 1 start if it weren't so very well done and couched in a unique story line. 2. I really liked the idea of this book, but I was not thrilled with the execution. There were scenes of sexual abuse that seemed written to be titillating, which bothered me. Also, the various characters seemed quite two-dimensional; the bad people are just flat-out EEEEEEVIL. Some of the angst felt contrived.

    3. This book is excellent, but definitely R rated. I found the plot engaging, unique and believable. If you're up for some contemporary adult sci-fi, then this is for you.

    4. This book will make you squirm. The abuse is frankly so well done that I am terrified to see what the research did to Piziks liver.
