    1. You can't possibly critique Maharashtra's most beloved,popular,whimsical ,surreal author.Here are few lines dedicated to my favourite author.

    3. One of the masterpieces. Very Funny. Chal sanskriti , loved to hear about it. Pu La's observation and his timing of jokes and the way he creates it amazing. this one is collectible for me.

    4. An absolute masterpiece on the daily lives and occurrences viewed through the writers experiences, the book will make you laugh but at times without knowing draw tears. If Dickens had Copperfield then PuLa had Rege, Barve, Sammel Kakaaracters you will find in everyday life but with their way to extract everything from it. This book is PhuLa(full) of life

    5. This is an amazing book. Hats off to the quality of humor in it. I had heard about this book and P.L. Deshpande but after reading this book, I have a whole new level of respect for him. The book has some good Marathi tongue twister words. I used to read this book aloud to improve my Marathi reading. A must read book!

    6. Something coming from 'The Master'of marathi literature sets the standard for clean comedy. The exemplary dialogues, unique characters and typical human behaviours have been so nicely woven with simple yet sometime poignant narration of a very light hearted story. It keep a broad smile on your face from first till last page of the book. If you understand Marathi, it is a must read.

    7. The one book that I always love to read and re-read!! No author in marathi has ever had and will ever have capability of pula. Every person in the chal seems to be speaking to you when you read the book. It never gets old to open any page from book and fell into a bursting laughter.

    8. I have read this book twice so far. First time it was about 35 years back. Now I am reading it again.I don't think Pu La has written humor. Rather his writing is the essence of Philosophy.Hasata Hasata maansala antarmukh karanyachi kimaya ha shabdancha jadugar karato.

    9. Every Time, I turn to Marathi Literature, I invariably reach for this Masterpiece by P.L Deshpande. The Mumbai chaal repertoire comes alive with his characters so beautifully sketched. I have giggled my way through this book every time I read it.

    10. Pu La is very dear author to me. He is like a funny grandpa. His linguistic skills are so awesome and elegant you don't even realize he used some tricky twist in the statement, but that will sure make you smile.

    11. funnies and best book of comedy ever . Well god choose good people for him that's why he called Pu. La. in heaven i guess they all need some laugh your soul may rest in Peace
